ATM is a 370 kDa nuclear phosphoprotein, involved in the autosomal recessive disease Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT). ATM belongs to a novel family of proteins associated with cell cycle regulation and response to DNA repair. The C-terminal region has extensive homology to the catalytic domains of phosphatidyl inositol 3-kinases (PI3 kinases). Its usefulness to monitor altered ATM expression in cancer is under active investigation.
For IP: Use at a concentration of 10 - 20 ?g/mg cell lysate. For WB: Use at a dilution of 0.1 - 0.4 ?g/mg. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
