Anti-APP Goat Polyclonal Antibody
Accumulation of the amyloid-b peptide (Ab) in the cerebral cortex is a critical event in the pathogenesis of Alzheimeris disease. The b-amyloid protein precursor(APP) is cleaved by b-secretase, producing a soluble derivative of the protein and a membrane anchored 99-amino acid carboxy-terminal fragment (C99). The C99 fragment serves as substrate for g-secretase to generatethe 4 kDa amyloid-b peptide(Ab), which is deposited inthe brains of all suffers of Alzheimeris disease.

ELISA: Use at a dilution of 1/1500. IHC-P: Use at a dilution of 1/100. IHC-Fr: Use at a dilution of 1/5000. WB: Use at a dilution of 1/1000. Predicted molecular weight: 92.4 kDa. IHC: labels dystrophic neurites in senile plaques. Western Blot for cell lysates and N-fragment secreted into the medium Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
