Anti-BCL2 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: 124]
Bcl-2 suppresses apoptosis in a variety of cell systems including factor-dependent lymphohematopoietic and neural cells. Regulates cell death by controlling the mitochondrial membrane permeability. Appears to function in a feedback loop system with caspases. Inhibits caspase activity either by preventing the release of cytochrome c from the mitochondria and/or by binding to the apoptosis-activating factor (APAF-1). [Provided by RefSeq]
Recommended Starting Dilutions:Immunohistochemistry: Use at a dilution of 1:15 - 1:50 for 60 mins at RT (ABC method). Staining Protocol:We suggest an incubation period of thirty minutes at room temperature. Optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user based upon the fixation conditions and staining system employed.High temperature antigen unmasking with 10mM EDTA, pH 8.0 is required prior to immunostaining of formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections. WB: Use at 1:100-1:750IP: Use at 1:100-1:750
Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions / concentrations should be determined by the end user. This antibody works well with B5 or Bouin's fixed tissues. Formalin fixed tissues may give inconsistent results.
