Anti-CA125 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Cancer antigen 125 (CA125) is a protein found on the surface of many ovarian cancer cells. It also can be found in other cancers and in small amounts within normal tissue. CA125 is used as a tumor marker an indicator of some types of cancer, especially ovarian cancer. Studies are being done to determine whether CA125 can be used as a screening test for ovarian cancer. Most often, the CA125 test is used to help determine the effectiveness of treatment for ovarian cancer or to help diagnose the recurrence of ovarian cancer.
