Anti-JNK1 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody
C-Jun N-terminal kinase 1 (JNK1) is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) family. It is activated by environmental stress and pro-inflammatory cytokines by phosphorylating a number of transcription factors, such as AP-1, and thus regulates AP-1 transcriptional activity. JNK1 regulates microtubule assembly in neuronal cells and microtubule-associated proteins (MAP) activity, maintaining the cytoskeletal integrity of neurons. In T-cells, JNK1 and its JNK2 are required for polarized differentiation of T-helper cells into Th1 cells. JNK1 plays a role in obesity. A JNK1 deficiency results in reduced adiposity and improved insulin sensitivity.
