p53 plays a major role in the cellular response to DNA damage and other genomic aberrations. The activation of p53 can lead to either cell cycle arrest and DNA repair, or apoptosis. p53 is phosphorylated at multiple sites in vivo and by several different protein kinases in vitro.
ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 10 ?g/ml. Detects a band of approximately 53 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 53 kDa). Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
