The flat bottom allows a reduction in the amount of media required. Patented cross ribs on the bottom make these dishes resilient to warpage when media is poured at a high temperature. These dishes are excellent for performing colony counts because the cross ribs also provide a useful border for making quadrents.
Available with four ventilation plugs on the underside of the lid allow for venting and prevent condensation from developing and dripping onto the culture.
