About this item

Model PTF 3DR is a triple drum (PTF 1DR = 1 drum) automated friability testing instrument made in full compliance to the monographs of the USP <1216> and EP <2.9.7> Pharmacopoeias

An alpha numeric keypad allows user entry of product specific information. There is also a LCD screen to display test results as well as data entries. The model PTF DR offers a choice of either a single test or a series of tests from which statistical information is derived. The balance COM port is available for a Sartorius or Mettler balance and a printer port to connect a DOT-matrix or PCL type Desk- or LaserJet printer, the RS232 port may be used to transmit data or control the PTF DR from outside.

They offer an online connection COM port for an analytical nalance for weight control before and after a test run. The standard printer port may be used to connect a suitable PCL or DOT-matrix printer to receive a full test report. The model PTF DR is capable of operation over the range of 20 to 70 rpm. Either a number of revolutions or a rotating time may be programmed. At the end of a run the samples are automatically discharged into a stainless steel sample collector for easy dedusting and re-weighing.

Certifications: Fully USP <1216> and EP <2.9.7> compliant.
Ordering: Optional friability (“Roche”) and abrasion drums are available. Optional anti-static coating of drums is available. Operation at 10° angle to test larger tablets is supported. For more information, contact your Avantor representative.
