Unit incorporates a flip-open easel for benchtop use, spring fastener for attaching to clipboard, a hole for use with a lanyard, and magnetic back for placement on water baths, incubators, ovens, and more.

Alarm mode may be programmed to count down or up and alarm at any time from 1 second to 100 hours. Display shows the time remaining or elapsed time. Extra loud, high-decibel alarm is automatically silenced after one minute or may be turned off manually. 'TIME IS UP' message is displayed when set time is reached. Unique 'through zero' feature shows time elapsed since the alarm has sounded.
