The process involves the transferral of DMSO-containing solutions in the nanoliter to picoliter range from a starting plate into a target plate by means of ultrasound

All plates are manufactured from cycloolefin and feature solid bottoms and F-bottom well profiles. The LoBase storage plate is ideal for working with minimal sample volumes. The storage plate with optimized geometry for low evaporation is equipped with a groove around the plate edges for a matching cycloolefin plate lid (not included). This prevents evaporation and minimizes edge effects. All plates are nonsterile, nonpyrogenic, and DNase-, RNase-, and human DNA-free.

The plates used have a substantial influence on the accuracy of the amount of liquid transferred. Even wall thicknesses and consistent sealing of the microplate bottoms are essential in maintaining the reproducibility of the sample.
