About this item
These high-density plates are designed for a variety of high throughput screening applications and drug discovery.
Plates feature rounded square wells to reduce well-to-well contamination, and have a total volume of 120µL per well. With the same footprint as 96-well plates, 384-well plates are compatible with robotics, automated readers, and liquid handling systems.
- Clear plates have excellent optical clarity for read-through applications
- White plates maximize reflection of signal and maintain low background for luminescence/fluorescence applications
- Black plates reduce background and minimize backlight scatter for fluorescence assays

Plates are available untreated, for molecular biology applications, or with a MaxiSorp™ surface for immunology applications. MaxiSorp™ surface is recommended for assays where glycoproteins (i.e., antibodies) are absorbed into the plastic. Optical-bottom plates have a white or black upper structure with an optically clear polystyrene bottom. They can be read from the top or the bottom and are optimized for scintillation counting.
The polystyrene plates feature a flat bottom, while the polypropylene plates have a round bottom to facilitate sample retrieval.
