About this item

VWR® FID Gas Stations are designed to provide fuel gas and support air to flame ionization detectors, flame photometric detectors, and total hydrocarbon analyzers.

  • Eliminate dangerous gas cylinders from lab
  • Recommended and used by major GC and column manufacturers

VWR® FID Gas Stations provide both UHP zero air at purity levels below 0.05ppm total hydrocarbon content and hydrogen gas at purity levels above 99.9995% in one enclosure. Zero air is produced by purifying on-site compressed air. Pure hydrogen gas is generated by the electrolytic dissociation of water before passing through a desiccant cartridge. Systems increase the accuracy of analysis and reduce the need to clean detectors.
