About this item
Lubricating oils are aerated at specified temperatures to generate a foam, which is measured at different intervals
Dual-twin and automatic time sequence models are suitable for standard foaming characteristics tests: two tests each at 24°C (75°F) and 94°C (200°F). Air flow rate is 94mL/min. Cold bath has built-in coils for circulating exit air from the high-temperature cylinder and a separate coil for circulating cooling water or refrigerant when ambient temperature exceeds the test temperature. Meet specifications: ASTM D892, IP 146, DIN 51566, FTM 791-3211, and NF T 60-129.
Sequence IV apparatus perform two tests at 150°C (302°F), with a flow rate of 200mL/min in accordance with ASTM D6082 specifications.
Units feature microprocessor temperature controls, copper immersion heaters, and stirrers to maintain temperature within 0.5°C (1°F). A dual LED provides actual and set point temperature readings in °C/°F format. Test cylinders are secured by quick-locking cams in the bath cover assembly. Baths are equipped with an overtemperature control circuit that interrupts power if temperature exceeds a preprogrammed shutoff point. Controls are enclosed in a finished steel base with chemical-resistant polyurethane finish.
