Catalog Number: (CAPIMA1016D488)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: This antibody is predicted to react with mouse, rat and cow based on sequence homology. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase family. CDK family members are highly similar to the gene products of S. cerevisiae cdc28, and S. pombe cdc2, and known as important cell cycle regulators. This kinase was found to be a component of the multiprotein complex TAK/P-TEFb, which is an elongation factor for RNA polymerase II-directed transcription and functions by phosphorylating the C-terminal domain of the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II. This protein forms a complex with and is regulated by its regulatory subunit cyclin T or cyclin K. HIV-1 Tat protein was found to interact with this protein and cyclin T, which suggested a possible involvement of this protein in AIDS.

Catalog Number: (CAPIMA1144D550)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: Immunofluorescence of MA1-144-D550 shows positive staining of SSEA-5 in human embryonal carcinoma NCCIT cells. Stage-Specific Embryonic Antigen-5 (SSEA-5) is an oligosaccharide that can be part of glycosphingolipids and glycoproteins. It contains the motif Fuc1-2Gal-beta1-3GlcNAc-beta, which is characteristic of H-1 antigens. SSEA-5 is found in the inner cell mass of the human blastocyst during embryogenesis, on undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells and on the surface of induced pluripotent cells. SSEA-5 was found to proceed the loss of other known stem cell markers and the combination of SSEA-5 with either CD9 and CD90 or CD50 and CD200 was superior in identifying and eliminating rare undifferentiated human ES cells from differentiated cell populations than the use of other established stem cell markers.

Catalog Number: (CAPIMA1017HRP)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: This Antibody has been successfully used in ICC/IF applications with human and mouse samples. This intronless gene encodes a member of the SRY-related HMG-box (SOX) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate. The product of this gene is required for stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system, and also regulates gene expression in the stomach. Mutations in this gene have been associated with optic nerve hypoplasia and with syndromic microphthalmia, a severe form of structural eye malformation. This gene lies within an intron of another gene called SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT).

Catalog Number: (CAPIMA5-14572)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: MA5-14572 targets CD23 in IHC (P), Western blot and FACS applications and shows reactivity with Human and Mouse samples. The MA5-14572 immunogen is recombinant protein encoding human CD23 48-248aa. CD23 is a 45kDa glycoprotein, which is present on a subpopulation of freshly isolated peripheral blood and tonsil B cells and strongly expressed on EBV-transformed B lymphoblasts. The CD23 molecule is identical to the low affinity IgE receptor found on B cells. Expression of CD23 has been detected in neoplastic cells from cases of B cell chronic lymphocyctic leukaemia and some cases of centroblastic/centrocytic lymphoma.

Catalog Number: (CAPIPA527925)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: This Antibody targets NAB2 in IF and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The immunogen is recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 4 and 416 of Human NAB2. This gene encodes a member of the family of NGFI-A binding (NAB) proteins, which function in the nucleus to repress transcription induced by some members of the EGR (early growth response) family of transactivators. NAB proteins can homo- or hetero-multimerize with other EGR or NAB proteins through a conserved N-terminal domain, and repress transcription through two partially redundant C-terminal domains. Transcriptional repression by the encoded protein is mediated in part by interactions with the nucleosome remodeling and deactylase (NuRD) complex. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined.

Description: This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, human and porcine based on sequence homology. Breast tumors are initially dependent on estrogens for growth and progression and can be inhibited by anti-estrogens such as tamoxifen. However, breast cancers progress to become anti-estrogen resistant. Breast cancer anti-estrogen resistance gene 3 was identified in the search for genes involved in the development of estrogen resistance. The gene encodes a component of intracellular signal transduction that causes estrogen-independent proliferation in human breast cancer cells. The protein contains a putative src homology 2 domain, a hall mark of cellular tyrosine kinase signaling molecules, and is partly homologous to the cell division cycle protein CDC48.

Description: The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembrane protein containing three extracellular CUB domains. This protein is found to be overexpressed in colon and lung cancers. Its expression level is correlated with the metastatic ability of carcinoma cells. This protein is located on the cell surface. It has been shown to be tyrosine phosphorylated in a cancer cell line. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.

Description: This Antibody targets HER-2 in IP and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human, mouse, Non-human primate, and Rat samples. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide from C-terminus of human HER-2 protein. This sequence is identical in rat neu protein. This gene encodes a member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor family of receptor tyrosine kinases. This protein has no ligand binding domain of its own and therefore cannot bind growth factors. However, it does bind tightly to other ligand-bound EGF receptor family members to form a heterodimer, stabilizing ligand binding and enhancing kinase-mediated activation of downstream signalling pathways, such as those involving mitogen-activated protein kinase and phosphatidylinositol-3 kinase. Allelic variations at amino acid positions 654 and 655 of isoform a (positions 624 and 625 of isoform b) have been reported, with the most common allele, Ile654/Ile655, shown here. Amplification and/or overexpression of this gene has been reported in numerous cancers, including breast and ovarian tumors. Alternative splicing results in several additional transcript variants, some encoding different isoforms and others that have not been fully characterized.

Catalog Number: (CAPIPA5-17964)
Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: This gene encodes a protein that was identified in a screen for genes expressed in metastatic cells, specifically, mammary adenocarcinoma cell lines. Expression of this gene has been correlated with the metastatic potential of at least two types of carcinomas although it is also expressed in many normal tissues. The role it plays in metastasis is unclear. It was initially thought to be the 70kD component of a nucleosome remodeling deacetylase complex, NuRD, but it is more likely that this component is a different but very similar protein. These two proteins are so closely related, though, that they share the same types of domains. These domains include two DNA binding domains, a dimerization domain, and a domain commonly found in proteins that methylate DNA. The profile and activity of this gene product suggest that it is involved in regulating transcription and that this may be accomplished by chromatin remodeling. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Description: This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, canine, mouse and rat based on sequence homology. The origin recognition complex is a highly conserved six subunits protein complex essential for the initiation of the DNA replication in eukaryotic cells. Studies in yeast demonstrated that ORC binds specifically to origins of replication and serves as a platform for the assembly of additional initiation factors such as Cdc6 and Mcm proteins. The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the ORC complex. Studies of a similar gene in Drosophila suggested a possible role of this protein in neuronal proliferation and olfactory memory. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported for this gene.
